Afremit concept preview · Guided tests by arrangement · No real payments How the pilot works

Built for care across borders

Support their future.
See the purpose.

Afremit is building a clearer path between people paying from abroad and the African institutions and providers delivering what matters. We start with education, and are testing healthcare and construction too.

i The pilot uses simulated payments. No money moves.

A more accountable journey

From a request to real clarity.

Follow an education fee through the pilot. The same careful handoffs inform the healthcare and construction journeys.

01 / 04

The school starts small.

Its finance team creates one fee request with an amount and a private student reference. No entire course catalogue is needed.

02 / 04

The payer sees the details.

A family member abroad checks the named institution, purpose, amount, and reference before starting a test payment. Approval to test is not identity verification.

03 / 04

Every handoff is visible.

Afremit records a simulated held state and flags anything that needs review. The provider submits evidence against the agreed release condition before an Afremit reviewer decides whether the simulated value can be released.

04 / 04

Both sides know the outcome.

An Afremit reviewer checks the evidence, then records the simulated release or a refund decision. The payer sees each step in the audit trail.

One purpose, three starting points

Built around what
people actually need.

Each pilot can begin with one provider request. The product records what was asked, who is responsible, and what happened next.

Healthcare

For example, a clinic shares one service estimate with a family member abroad. Both can follow the request and a simulated payment without entering clinical records.

03 · PROVIDER PILOT

Construction

For example, a builder issues a request for one agreed milestone. The payer reviews its purpose and amount, while the provider records the next step in the test workflow.

One request, three clear views

What each person
needs to know.

These are illustrative pilot situations. Names, references, and payment values used in the demo are fictional.

01 / PROVIDER

A school finance officer

Creates one tuition request with its amount, purpose, and private reference. The team can see whether the payer has started a test and whether evidence and independent review are still needed.

Next step: submit evidence against the release condition or raise an exception.
02 / PAYER

A family member abroad

Opens a private code shared by the school, checks the request details, and walks through a simulated payment. The history shows what happened and when.

Next step: ask for review if the details do not match.
03 / AFREMIT TEAM

A pilot reviewer

Reviews provider applications, release evidence and payment exceptions. A mismatched amount cannot be released through the test ledger.

Next step: verify evidence, record a reason, or simulate a refund.

For institutions and providers

Begin with one request.
Grow from there.

Your team does not need to rebuild its systems to test Afremit. Start with a single example fee, service estimate, or project milestone. Tell us how you currently identify and confirm it.

Open for guided testing

A working pilot.
Clearly at pilot stage.

Afremit is inviting private institutions and service providers to test the steps around a payment request. The connected pilot is designed for guided tests with consenting participants. Payments, balances, quotes and receipts in this version are simulated.

There are currently no live transfers, active payment or escrow provider, or insurance cover in this pilot. A production payments model depends on suitable partners and agreements.

For partners and investors

A working workflow.
An open invitation to test it.

Many people abroad want to support a specific service in Africa and know what happened after they acted. Providers need an easier way to issue a clear request, match it to their records, and communicate an outcome. Afremit is testing the software journey with education first, while keeping healthcare and construction open to discovery.

Before you join

Questions about
the pilot.

Clear expectations help every school, provider, payer, and partner decide whether a guided test is useful.

Can my institution start without uploading its full fee catalogue?

Yes. An approved provider can begin with one fee, service estimate, or construction milestone. A full catalogue is not required for the pilot.

Does Afremit take or hold real money today?

No. Payments, held balances, allocations, and refunds are simulated records. There is no live pay-in, payout, currency conversion, or escrow custody in this release.

Are participating institutions financially verified?

No. Afremit staff approve access to test the pilot workflow. That decision is not a substitute for the due diligence required before any live payment service.

What information should we use during testing?

Start with fictional or minimal business information. Do not enter patient records, children's names, identity numbers, card details, bank credentials, or real payment instructions.

What does a family member abroad see?

After receiving a private request code, they can review its purpose, amount, and reference, complete a test transaction, and follow its recorded outcome. The provider submits evidence and an Afremit reviewer records the simulated release decision.

How can a provider or partner take part?

Providers can apply when the connected pilot workspace opens. For a guided test, technical integration, or partnership conversation, reach Afremit through its LinkedIn business page. The interactive workspace requires a separate connected deployment.
